Nice is located in the Provence-Alpes-Coted'Azur region of Southern France. Aquamarine beaches, sun, gourmet food – all make a heady concoction for a good vacation. For art aficionados, The Palais Massena has several 19th century and impressionist paintings on display. As dinner approaches, sit back enjoying seafood and sipping wine in one of the many restaurants besides the Mediterranean coast. Since it is on the Mediterranean coast, Nice has mild winters and hot summers. It is best to visit the city during October when both the days and nights are pleasant.
