Lazise
Practical Information for visiting Lazise
Getting Around
The town, harbour and walls are free and always open. The castle is private and not open to visitors.
Lazise is on the lake ferry network, which lands you at the harbour itself, and is about ten minutes by road from Peschiera del Garda, whose station is on the Milan–Venice line. Between the two, the town is reachable without a car.
Parking is paid and fills early in season — it is the town's worst practical problem, and the ferry or the bus from Peschiera avoids it entirely.
The centre is flat and largely pedestrianised, which makes it among the more accessible towns on the shore. Allow an hour or two for the harbour, the walls and the church.
Gardaland is ten minutes inland, which is why Lazise is busy with families through the season.
