Anaheim’s climate varies from moderate to warm. The average low in the winter months is 45 degrees, while in the summer the average high can climb up to 86 degrees. Yearly rainfall is between 10 and 12 inches.
The main attraction in Anaheim is Disneyland. Walt Disney opened his first theme park in
Anaheim in 1955. Since then Anaheim has become a modern-day boom town. It is now the tenth largest city in California and the fifty-ninth largest city in the United States. Today Disney has renovated their resort area and added on Disney’s California Adventure Theme Park. The city of Anaheim has kept pace and renovated their downtown as well.
In addition to Disneyland, Anaheim hosts two professional sports teams. The Anaheim Angels play at Angel Stadium for Major League Baseball. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks play at the Honda Center for the National Hockey League. For those not interested in sports, Anaheim has a residential theatre company and plenty of shopping, eating, and nightlife options.
