Toronto's attractions do not form a single old-centre circuit. The CN Tower, stadiums, aquarium and Harbourfront occupy the central waterfront band. From Union Station, the financial district and Hockey Hall of Fame lead east toward St. Lawrence Market and the old town.
The Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario and other major collections sit on different corridors. Give one of them a real visit rather than treating several as weather shelters. Toronto Island Park adds beaches, lagoons and the clearest skyline view, but ferry queues and weather make it a separate outing.
Canada's Wonderland is in Vaughan, north of Toronto. It requires its own transport plan and should not be attached casually to a downtown day. The same principle applies to Scarborough, the zoo and outer natural areas: group sights by geography, not fame.
