The region of East Macedonia and Thrace is one of the thirteen regions that make up the country of
Greece. Situated on the northern edge of the country, the region of East Macedonia and Thrace is bordered by the country of Bulgaria to the north, the country of Turkey to the east and the region of Central Macedonia to the west.
