Transdanubia Region Guide

Overview

Transdanubia is the most western region of Hungary and has an area of 38,000 kmĀ². It is a mainly undulating terrain, with some mountains and plains. The boundaries of Transdanubia are the Danube River in the northeast, the Drave and the Mura in the south, and the foothills of the Alps roughly along the border between Hungary and Austria in the west.
