Where the crowds are

Ceremonial core: India Gate, Kartavya Path and Rashtrapati Bhavan attract concentrated demand on pleasant evenings, weekends and around national events. Security can matter more than crowd size; check current access.

World Heritage pressure: Qutb Minar and Humayun's Tomb receive steady first-visit demand, with sharper pressure during the cooler season and school or public holidays. Early opening periods usually provide more space and less heat.

Religious and market pressure: Nizamuddin and Old Delhi become busiest according to prayer, festival, market and evening rhythms. These are living districts, so crowding is not solely tourism.

Southern circuit: the Bahá'í House of Worship, Hauz Khas and Tughlaqabad sit far apart despite appearing in the same broad sector. Traffic and the final approach create practical pressure even when a site itself is calm.

Lower-pressure choices: Safdarjung's Tomb, Purana Qila, Lodhi Garden and biodiversity parks can provide more space at suitable times. This is an editorial map of recurring patterns, not live footfall data.
