Finale Ligure Events

Viaggio nel Medioevo, the third week of August. A costume event in the setting of the medieval borgo of Finalborgo, awarded by the Presidency of the Republic: four evenings of games, shows, old trades and cultural activities.

Palio delle Compagne Finalesi, the second weekend of July. A medieval costume event carrying the Trofeo Nazionale degli Sbandieratori, the national flag-throwers' trophy.

La Notte dei Tarocchi, 12 and 13 August. Two evenings given to tarot, esoteric practice and "messages for the soul"; since 2018 it is held each year through the streets of Finalborgo.

Festa dell'Inquietudine, end of May. Conceived in 1996 by the Circolo degli Inquieti, a national prize awarded to the Inquieto dell'Anno.

The sport calendar is international. The 24 ore di Mountain Bike on the Mànie plateau, the last weekend of May — part of the 24 CUP MTB since 2004 and the first 24-hour race in Italy; the Enduro World Series, the MTB enduro world championship, in October; and Finale for Nepal in September, an annual sport-climbing event raising money for volunteer projects in Nepal.

Also running: Sguardi sul Mare, an annual summer photography festival on the sea, and the Percorsi Sonori concert season in the cloisters of Santa Caterina at Finalborgo.
