Introduction
Trentino Alto Adige is a mountainous region in northern Italy that has many rivers and lakes apart from a few chains of mountains. The entire province is divided by the River Adige Valley. In the western side you can find the glaciers of Adamello, Brenta and Presanella. Eastern side comprises of Dolomites of Fassa, Pale di S.Martino and Latemar. The main lakes are Garda and Ledro. The region of Trentino-Alto Adige is rich with thermal water springs that are therapeutic in nature. Presence of thick coniferous forests on the dolomite slopes makes this place a natural wonder. There are 3 National Parks: Adamello - Brenta, Paneveggio Pale and Stelvio. One can view the characteristic Alpine vegetation and animals here.
Trentino Alto Adige is famous for its apples and wine production. The winter resort, Madonna di Campiglio is popular amongst the tourist.
Trento in Trentino Alto Adige contains the administrative headquarters. Another city, Rovereto is the center of cultural and industrial affairs. The province has a variety of cultures due to the influence of both the German and Italian civilizations. One can find that the churches of S. Pietro and Tenno have art that is typical medieval.
