Bassano's sights cluster tightly. The Ponte degli Alpini crosses the Brenta at the western edge of the old town, with the Nardini grapperia at its head and the Poli grappa museum a minute away; the linked squares and the Museo Civico are a few streets east, and Palazzo Sturm with the ceramics collection overlooks the river to the south. Monte Grappa and its summit ossuary are 30 km north, and need most of a day.
