Bassano del Grappa
Bassano del Grappa Climate Patterns
Summers (June-August) are warm and humid, generally in the high twenties, with frequent afternoon thunderstorms building over the mountains. The Brenta and the shade of the arcades make the centre noticeably more comfortable than the open plain.
Winters (December-February) are cold, with frost common and occasional snow in town. Monte Grappa holds snow from November into spring, and the summit road closes in winter.
Rainfall is high and well distributed, with peaks in spring and autumn. Autumn storms can be intense, and the Brenta rises quickly.
The altitude difference is the thing to plan around: the summit is 1,600 metres above the town, and can be ten to fifteen degrees colder with weather of its own.
