The hot room (sıcaklık) in each section centers on a large heated marble platform (göbek taşı, or "belly stone") where bathers traditionally rested during the sweating and scrubbing stages of the hammam ritual, surrounded by private washing basins set into the walls. The building's restoration preserved this traditional layout closely, allowing visitors today to experience the same sequence of rooms Ottoman-era bathers would have used.
