Dolmabahçe Palace Site Features

The Ceremonial Hall (Muayede Salonu) is the palace's single most dramatic space — a vast domed reception hall used for state occasions, dominated by an enormous crystal chandelier suspended from the ceiling. The Crystal Staircase, with its baluster made of Baccarat crystal, and the Ambassadors' Hall, used to receive foreign dignitaries, are similarly opulent showcases of the palace's European-influenced design.

The room where Atatürk died is preserved largely as it was, draped in a Turkish flag, and remains one of the most visited and solemn parts of the palace for Turkish visitors specifically.
