Overview

Changed

Ca' da Mosto is one of Venice's oldest palaces, on the Grand Canal in Cannaregio, a short walk from the Rialto Bridge. Renovated many times over the centuries, its facade still reflects the Veneto-Byzantine style of its earliest construction, and gives the palace -- and the da Mosto family for whom it's named -- their place in Venetian history.

Quick Facts

    Visit Responsibly

    Changed

As a private, largely residential building, Ca' da Mosto has no visitor entrance -- viewing it from the canal respects the privacy of the people who live there today.

    How to See It

    Changed

Ca' da Mosto is a private building today and not open to the public -- it's best seen from the Grand Canal, either from a passing vaporetto or from the Riva del Vin/Rialto side of the canal.
