Ca' Rezzonico

Located on the Grand Canal in the Dorsoduro sestiere, Palazzo Rezzonico (also known as Ca' Rezzonico) is an opulent palace that provides a fascinating glimpse into 18th-century Venetian life. It is sumptuously furnished with Baroque and Rococo period pieces, silk wall coverings and Flemish tapestries, together with housing a museum that highlights the importance of luxury goods to the 18th-century Venetian economy.

Ca' Rezzonico contains historic collection objects, decorated interiors and fragile surfaces. Follow the museum's current photography, baggage and distance rules. During restoration, barriers protect both visitors and the collection and should not be crossed.

A visit across Ca' Rezzonico's furnished rooms and galleries generally takes about 90 minutes. The Ca' Rezzonico vaporetto stop is beside the palace, and admission is available separately or through eligible Musei Civici passes.

Temporary restoration notice, verified September 2026: extensive work affects the Ballroom. A large structural scaffold is present, and its wall decoration and ceiling fresco are not visible, although circulation through the room and the remainder of the museum route remain open.
