Capri's defining sites fall into three groups. Roman Capri is clearest at Villa Jovis, whose terraces and cisterns occupy Monte Tiberio, and at the island's new archaeological museum inside the Certosa di San Giacomo. The Certosa itself preserves the island's major Angevin complex.

In Anacapri, Villa San Michele combines Axel Munthe's late-nineteenth-century project with older fabric and collections. The chairlift continues to Monte Solaro. Along the coast, the Faraglioni, Blue Grotto, Arco Naturale and cliff viewpoints explain the island's geology. Boat access remains conditional on sea state, and Via Krupp should never be assumed open without a municipal check.
