Sermoneta Events

Sermoneta's calendar follows a hill town's year, with a precisely bounded summer.

18 June to 10 September is the hot season, with average maxima above 27 °C.

August is both the hottest and the sunniest month, averaging about 30 °C by day.

Spring and autumn are the practical seasons for a walled hill town and for walking up to the Carbolino ridge.

Religious feasts centre on the thirteenth-century Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta and, below the town, on the Cistercian abbey of Valvisciolo.

November is the wettest month, at about 94.4 mm over 10 rainy days, and among the cloudiest with January.

Checking what is actually on. Regione Lazio publishes a region-wide events calendar on its VisitLazio portal, listing festivals, sagre and historical re-enactments by comune and by date. Local feast days move with the liturgical calendar and small-town programmes are often fixed only weeks ahead, so confirm there rather than relying on last year's dates.
