Terracina's year is shaped by a three-month hot season and a continuously inhabited old town.

Mid-June to mid-September is the hot season, with maxima above 27 °C, and the period when the beaches either side of the town are fully in use.

August is the peak — the hottest month, averaging just under 30 °C by day and 21 °C at night, with around twenty-two muggy days.

May and late September are the balance points, with usable sea and a manageable town.

Religious and civic feasts run in a historic centre that has been continuously occupied since antiquity.

Winter is mild but wet: the rainy season runs from mid-September to late April, and November is the wettest month at about 98 mm.

Checking what is actually on. Regione Lazio publishes a region-wide events calendar on its VisitLazio portal, listing festivals, sagre and historical re-enactments by comune and by date. Local feast days move with the liturgical calendar and small-town programmes are often fixed only weeks ahead, so confirm there rather than relying on last year's dates.
