Two UNESCO sites and a gorge. Villa Adriana is an archaeological site the size of a small town; Villa d’Este is a garden of gravity-fed fountains on steep terraces; Villa Gregoriana is a wooded ravine with a 120-metre waterfall and two Roman temples on the lip above it. Each takes half a day, and they are far enough apart that doing all three in one day means doing none of them properly.
